The Student Union, a six member elected representative body, coordinates all student activities. It organises, conducts and oversees student events and competitions at the intra-college and inter-college level to ensure that every student’s college life is more than just academics. Apart from organizing fests, the student union gives the students a platform to associate with social causes and encourages them to take part in extra-curricular activities to ensure their holistic development. Working in co-ordination with 53 distinct associations, it ensures that there is something for each and every one of the students and aims to achieve unity in diversity.
The union is ably guided by the Student welfare committee. The welfare team comprising faculty members, acts as a vital link between the Principal / Management, Students Union and the students. It oversees implementation of institutional policies in matters.
Some of the activities conducted by the union last year were:
Freshers' Weeka three day event, custom- made just for the first year students so that they can be welcomed and to give them the experience of real college life!
